24 hour LOC session

Postby ben smith » Thu Nov 24, 2005 12:47 pm

after exams are done- like dec 15th-16th I was thinking about having a big session in LOC and trying to do all the classics at every area in a day/night -obviously it probably won't happen but its a good goal to shoot for- and I was wondering if anybody else wanted to come out and try it with me.

I'll be back on the 19th for 10 days. I don't know about 24 hrs but I'd definitely come out for some sending.

You guys mind if I tag along? I write my last exam friday morning, this would be an awsome way to celebrate graduation. I would love to get out and spend the night in the LOC, play with the new camera, hop on some routes and photography this epic attempt. I have a nice coleman lantern I can donate to the effort. I also volunteer to carry the beer. That's what you meant by drinks of all sorts right?

My hand is progressing well. I got back on the wall for the first time on monday and sqweaked in at the bottom of the leauge standings. I was stoked to send as many problems as I did, including that huge dyno (#20) on my first day back. #20 was all slopers, so it was gold for me. I'll be doing some light climbing for the next few weeks to rehabilitate, but I'll be sending again by the christmas break. It feels good, my biggest concern is tearing it again while it is still weak.

Dont forget these mega classics
Width of a circle
Ultima man sit start
You will be Assimilated
Pleasure Dome
There is no spoon
Ankle Breaker
Mr Wiggles
Good luck to you all and remember if it gets too cold you can do like Han Solo did in Empire Strikes back. Sadly though we will loose a member of the NS bouldering community.

Here's the secret to warm hands and feet - stock up. They got me through -40 windchill on a snowboard. A pair for both hands and feet.

Hans Solo got frozen in carbonite, but you could also do what Luke did. Use your light saber to slaughter a large animal and crawl inside for warmth.
