i just learned about this... these guys were top notch representatives of our sport. definitely a loss to the community.

That's a damn shame. Those guys were really pushing the envelope and bagging first ascents in a bold, minimalist style for which I have the utmost respect and I'm sure they would have had it no other way. My condolences to their friends and family.
