Ascenders of unlikelyness.

Postby Matt Peck » Wed Jun 22, 2005 10:19 pm

Hey all, I was at a local safety shop looking for chainsaw gear here on the Island when I happened across a dusty shelf in the back. I found a bunch of the original Jumars still in their protective wrap and totally mint, and got three of them for a song. These are in great shape, and were unsold purely because there is no need to climb anything on the Island. I guess they are only 4 years old. Im keeping two for me but I still have a single right handed version that I'll let go for a good offer.
Just goes to show you that you canget gear in suprising places.
I'd also swap this one for a used left handed jumar, or Petzel ascention.

I play/sing a mean "Where is my Mind?" but if you prefer I can play and sing a couple white stripes songs. Speaking of which did you get in the new one?

Yeah SHannon, Fred has had this wicked anti-trad climbing thing going for a while, though we all know he really loves it, brown undies and all. I personally think it is a direct result of living with a gearwhore like Cara. Overcompensation you could call it.
It's good for a laugh though!

Now that I have my Jumars, I just gotta find a pitch to climb with my stringline and snaplinks.
