The Crag Garbage Appreciation Thread!

Postby *Chris* » Sun Jul 03, 2011 6:51 pm

N.B.'s crags are pretty spotless. It's a certain fact that there will always be people around that don't care about leaving litter in the woods. That's the way it is. However, there are also a dedicated crew of great ladies and gentlemen that are doing more than their share to clean up our crags.

So... here's an idea: if you find trash while out climbing pick it up, pack it out, and post a quick picture of it here. Even if you just find a single beer can or candy wrapper that's awesome!

Post up your victory trash pictures and be rewarded with sweet high-fives from all of your friends!

We were at Cochrane lane today with the kids and Stef with his niece and Nephew. there was no major trash at the camp site, but upon picking up a few odds and ends, Ericka (Stef's neice) had a hilarious find.

hopefully he'll post a picture soon......

Okay, here is the pic. I'm betting this perpetrator wasn't a climber. Maybe the girlfriend of one…but definitely not a climber…

Today i picked up a beer can at pyramid, plastic bags, and a bunch of wrappers at both joes and simpsons. Likely climbers given the locations. /shakes head/

So I found 3 rusty old wire brushes around dawn wall today. One of the brushes was taped to a wooden stick. Cleaning routes but littering the ground...Ohh the Irony.
