ICE PICS

Postby climberwannabe » Sun Dec 18, 2005 1:50 pm

Ok, here goes, hope this works. The first link is for my website, its not the greatest cause I have been neglecting it for months (not to mention I am not sure how to use the program completely)...

But ANYWAYS, the current ice conditions have improved on the right hand piece but majorly deteriorated on the far left. There are essentially 3 climbing routes, from left to right:
Spilled Milk, Cottage Cheese, Sour Cream. The second link will show what the ice looked like in all its glory last year, as you can see Spilled Milk and Sour Cream are the only ones developing at this time. Spilled Milk was almost climbable at my last recon but the rain storm must have ruined it.

Ice conditions

Postby Postman » Thu Dec 22, 2005 8:06 am

Steve! I rappelled down spilt milk yesterday and the ice is all the way to the ground. Had no problem climbing out.You could top rope spilt milk. Ice is still to thin for screws. The right tower could be climbed with out a wet suit if you pick the right line. Thinking of heading out on Friday before the weekend warm weather.
Give me a call if you’re interested. 847-0890

Cheers!
Geoff
