Spain

Okay, now, I am not trying to rub it in, because a little birdie told me it has been "colder than a witches tit" climbing in Nova Scotia lately (not my words), but I thought I would mention that I am off tomorrow to the Costa Blanca in Spain for a week of climbing. If I come back dead, it has been great knowing y'all.

If you like on-line climbing pornography, this is where we will be: http://www.abdet.com/climbing/index.html . We are climbing mainly in the "Sella" area, where the weather today was 18 degrees (a bit chilly for spandex, I think). And sorry to tell the Stoners this, but as you will see from the site, we may do the odd sport route, as there are 271 of them, 1 to 8 pitches, and only a handful of trad routes.

I hope to get photos up on my site a week from Monday, so let's make it a date. A plus tard! Peter

Looks warm and humid!

As last night (Nov 27) was the first time the temps in Halifax dipped below zero, it is hard to say. At this rate it could be the new year, but we could also have a sudden cold snap, which if it gets too cold too fast could also be problematic for ice formation.

Ice

Now that rock is done for the year, I am also thinking only of ice and snow. Until then. P.

Hey Peter,
You going to be in the north of England/Scotland? I might have a climbing contact or two if you need a partner.

Cheers
