I'll be down in Moncton for the Xmas holidays and would love to climb some ice! 4 days of climbing to be exact, 26 to the 29. Each day! Parlee Brook mostly, maybe one day at Welsford.
I do need partners though. Who's up for it? I have all my gear, double ropes, 12 screws, etc.
I will try to ropegun most climbs if my head is switched on right. Hopefully it will be! I'll be hitting some ice in 2 weeks.
If anyone is interested, let me know.

Sorry, i sold them to the person who had responded first. Just took some time to get things finalized.

If there's ice, I'd like to put in a day at the closest spot. Which is closer from Charlottetown, PEI?
I would get there in the afternoon, climb, and winter camp over night, climb again, and leave later the next day. Say dec 27-28, or dec 28,29th if the weather cooperates.

Parlee Brook near Sussex is your best bet for quality and certainty. It's the first place to freeze up and the ice is always fat.
I want to go to hell... there's probably lots of rock to climb there.

Anyone have 4WD? It will sure beat the 7am snowshoe approach.

Just made me think of a time we were hiking up to Smuggler's Notch, Vermont to go ice climbing and this beast of machine pulls up next to us and asks if we wanted a lift.
It was the coolest approach ever!
Apparently, the US military were up there training that day and the Hagglunds was going up and down bringing people up.
UNB Rock & Ice should definitely looking into purchasing one. That Parlee Brook approach would then be a lot more enjoyable

According to http://www.geocities.com/Yosemite/Rapids/6319/ your destination is (45 38 32.0 65 25 41.0), there also is a description of the way there (walk X km turn right blabla)
"Path" errr you mean logging road, right?? You basically drive/walk a logging road (with a few twist and turns) until it crosses a small trickling brook and then you just follow your nose to the ice.
