Anyone know if there is any climbing near Hatchet Lake? I've got an Aunt down there and want to know if there is anything worthwhile near her place.

yup, you're right in the middle of it all. There are all kinds of bouldering areas 5-20mins away.

Hey! My parent's live on Hatchet Lake (live in Brookside though). Closest area is Terrence Bay, but its also on the way to Prospect, Polly's, Dover, LOC, etc (on the way from Halifax I mean).

You could even bike to all those areas if you felt like battling the tour buses on Prospect (disclaimer: bike with boulding pad at own risk :? ).

Ha, I've done this. Yeah biking on those roads with a pad can be tough. Plus it constantly feels like you are biking up hill.
