Washing Down

Anyone have any experience washing down items such as sleeping bags, jackets, etc? If so did you use a special washing machine and detergent?

I've used that cleaner in a top loading as well - not as great - but worth it. I know Mike/Melissa Parker used a SJ dry cleaner?

Okay got the cleaner, found a front loading washer. Now what about drying. Is it safe to put it in a commercial dryer?

I've always dried them on 'air' only (not heat)....takes longer but worked well
