yeah i agree - great idea! but yeah, you guys giver on that particular day but i do think this challenge should continue indefinitely. set a record and give people something to shoot for.

How about this formula:
Points = Sum(#persons x #thumbsup)
Dom wrote:The problem with this formula is if you have a group of 10 for instance, then you climb It`s a Way of Life and Snakepeel and you get 60 points. [(10 x 3) x 2]
A group of 2 will have to climb 10 routes to get the same amount of points and will necessarily need to hike more and climb harder routes as easy 3 star routes are limited.
This is why I'm advocating for a 2 person party only. Also, that way it's more consistent. 2 climbers per across the board.

Do mountain bikers say to the organizers of the Hadley Challenge..."Hey I can't make it that day so let me ride it the day before and have it count" or "I don't like that section of trail...why not do this trail instead". Do runners say "I can't make the marathon by the sea...let me run it the next day instead".
Fun idea Jon and Peter. You came up with the idea so you make the rules and we abide by them or we make up our own challenge is my line of thinking.
