New Route - Flight of the Palagi

Route starts at the bottom and ends at the top.

This is the newest route in the recently developed Larsen Bay area. To get there simply drive to Moncton, get on a plane and fly 30 hours to American Samoa. Access isn't usually an issue if you bring the local Samoan family a can of tuna and have plenty of rocks to throw at feral dogs. Other area annoyances include a dumb beautiful beach with pissy awesome swimming on 30 degree days.

I thought it was going to be garbage but it was actually solid. The shittiest part is def that bottom left but that isn't really where the route is anyway and everything up/right of that isn't bad. It surprised me. We broke way more holds developing in Munson.

Here in South Pacific we have an ethic against bomber anchors in an effort to keep the climbing spicy and more natural. When I look up at my tiny tree anchor, with its one unlocked biner and the other stuck open, I feel an exhilaration that I don't expect NB climbers to understand. I do, however, expect you to respect the local ethic here and make an effort against talking smack about something just because it's different than the way you do it at your crag.

Jokes aside, anchor was a bit sloppy but backed up and not going anywhere. I'd boulder the route with pads but there be rocks hidden under the sand and this ain't a place I'm eager to seek out medical attention for anything serious.
