Montreal climbing

Postby Deezydog » Thu Apr 26, 2012 7:20 pm

Hey folks, looks like I'll be spending most of next week on a roadtrip to see the chili peppers in montreal. We'll have about 5 days in and around the montreal area. I'm wondering if there is any decent climbing to be found around there or if I should just leave the gear at home. At the very least I might bring a harness + shoes and check out the 'allez up' gym. Any recommendations? Thanks

Forgot to mention that we're also looking for other entertainment options while there. Mainly good food places, pubs, restaurants, music venues etc. Probably not so much on the strip club scene as I'll be there with my gf but she does have an open mind so ya never know.lol

This place is a little ways out of town, but kinda cool.

Montagne D'Argent is not far from Montreal and worth the trip, if only to see the hilarious three pitch 5.2 sport climb with bolts every meter or so.

It costs money to climb there too; $5 when I was there a few years back.
