I think I'm all set. I've helped my friend install some in Québec (the land of glue-ins) a few years back and I got the just of it then, but glad you gave me a bunch of info.

We picked up a demo glue gun for maybe around half price. That might be from what the Canadian dealer was quoting my friend. Bec was working in the States for a little while and was able to get it there. The glue was cheaper there too. For us its actually closer as well.

I think the gun was around $80? It was a demo gun but I didn't get a huge discount on. I'm not sure what it would have cost to get it in Canada, as Nathan said the store in Buffalo is actually quite a bit closer for us than going into Toronto and I was working over there at the time anyway.

Just be warned that these are hot sellers at Hilti stores. I called two days before and they had 3 or 4 in stock. By the time I got there they were all sold. That's the main reason I got the demo gun, they didn't have any new ones left in stock (and the one I got had to be taken off one of their work trucks). If you plan on buying one in the states see if you can call the store direct and have them hold it for you.

For the record the route is improved by the removal of the tree. It does seem a tad run out there now tho b/c the tree was your protection. Easy climbing but dirty.
