Found shoe at Chebucto Head

Postby Rowan » Sun Aug 21, 2011 10:25 pm

I found a La Sportiva Katana (? - yellow w/ velcro, size 39, right, 'RO' written on it and '7') on the road leading up to Chebucto Head on Thursday evening.
I'm not sure if it was lost or is just litter, as it's pretty beat up with a huge hole in the toe, but still resoleable I guess.
I'm *guessing* it belongs to somebody visiting from Toronto, but if they do happen to read this BB and want it back, let me know.

Was there a human foot in it?

Athletic footwear washing ashore con pie is all the rage on the west coast.

Maybe the foot was eaten by seagulls and the shoe dropped on the road?

It's a weird world out there. Someone ought to sell tickets.
A monk asked Quiglin Shiqian, "What is a person who has realized the Way?"
Quiglin said, "Embracing the ice and snow, head and eyebrows held high."

LMAO Peter.
I want to go to hell... there's probably lots of rock to climb there.

That was the first thing I thought of, but I did check inside pretty carefully and there was no foot.
I did find something odd there once, churned up out of the briny deep - a message in a bottle cast into the ocean in 2007... from PEI.
That reminds me I've still got to write to that kid, except he's probably into BMX and video games now and maybe he'd just be embarrassed by something he did back when he was 7.
