Worth reading: http://www.climbeasterncanada.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=5520&hilit=resole

In that thread I was all for resoling but now I feel that it's not worth it. No matter the quality of the resole, it won't replace a brand new shoe. Considering you can find muiras for 80-100$ on the internet, I wouldn't bother. Just food for thought.

Even when compared to full price Muiras, resoling isn't worth the money...
I want to go to hell... there's probably lots of rock to climb there.

Hey Marty, I've done about 8 resoles with the rubber room and have been super happy with all of them. They even did my shoes in 3 days for me once so that I could climb in Yosemite with them. I'm a huge advocate of resoling. I'm also cheap as flowers :P

Hehe about a month ago I ordered a pair of Anasazi verde for 87$ no tax, free shipping from alssports.com
I got it shipped to Calais along with other crazy deals (gridlock 12$, atc guide 18$, no tax etc.)
They had the muiras going for 83$ and bd C4's for 38.99$. Marty can confirm this, he got in on the deal too.

If you search well (sorry Chris, you won't get far with google) and have good timing you will encounter really good deals once in a while.

Perhaps, but I got everything I wanted for those prices.

Next time I'll post here when a crazy deal arises.

Myself, Ryan, and Henni just sent 11 pairs in to Alpine Shoe Service in Alberta. Normally I'm against resoles but the price of Muiras is just too steep these days. (unless you can find imaginary $80 pairs online  )I'm hoping that avoiding the boarder will keep shipping/duties low and make a faster turn-around. I'll let you know how it goes.
