Rumney Camping

Postby Fred » Thu Mar 17, 2011 10:56 pm

Are the campgrounds around Rumney open towards the end of April?

Where are climbers staying these days? Across the road?
I want to go to hell... there's probably lots of rock to climb there.

There are a bunch of camping around there. Camping across the road seems to be the most convenient but not much in terms of services. One porter-potty and the Baker river to wash in. 9$ a night last summer...Should be open in late April.

There's also D Acres, Mountain pine campground and a big one in Campton.
I know nothing about them though.

It was just a bit strange Steve. But that's probably because I'm a total capitalist and the furthest thing from a social bug. hehe :)

If you are into helping pic eggs for breakfast and having obscure philosophical discussion about life, it may be the ideal spot for you.

hahahaha.... oh memories. :P Just join the circle Fred.

Last time I went to Rumney we stayed at the White Mountains campground in Campton. It's maybe 10 minutes from Rumney, not far from the Campton exit. Not sure when they officially open but I've heard you can camp there regardless as long as you're not out in the open.
