Boulderfest Dates - Voice Your Opinion

For the past few years now we have been hosting Boulderfest During the Natal Day long weekend, the first weekend in August. This year Natal Day Weekend runs July 30 - Aug 1, which conflicts with the U2 Concert & others in Moncton.

So, the BIG question is... When the heck should we schedule Boulderfest? This isn't to say that we will definitely reschedule. But, if we get enough opinions, we may be persuaded.

Honestly?... U2/Moncton when you could be on Dover... shouldn't even be a question on a climbing forum. August long weekend seems to be working out well for Boulderfest weather. Took me some getting used to but this year in particular I'm especially glad it's the first weekend in August (assuming you don't change it) since I'll likely be in Europe (if all goes as planned) during the old Boulderfest dates.

I say keep the date as the August long weekend... if you're willing to skip Boulderfest to see U2 I'm not sure your vote should count anyway.

U2 won't keep me off the island, but I do wish Boulderfest was on a slightly cooler weekend. Of course by the time Boulderfest rolls around I should have probably had my fill of Dover anyway.

It kind of bones me but only because I am a stage tech with a potential to work backstage on U2. That said there are other opportunities for me this summer so I will be at BoulderFest.
