Stoners Outing - A Dare

Postby peter » Wed Apr 20, 2005 10:50 pm

It seems to me, upon careful reflection, and not at all influenced by alcohol, that a Stoner should be able to do the following climbs this weekend, at Sorrow's End:

- climb every route 5.9 and under route, on lead, in hiking/mountain boots, rather than rock shoes; and

- climber every 5.10a on lead, in rock shoes.

Or am I on crack?

If you say "route" twice, quickly, it sounds different. Try it.

What about Double Rope Disaster thats a tough one for mountain boots, and all 10a's would include All the Rage which you couldn't get Steve P close enough to spit on. Now if all stoners climb the the afore mentioned tasks I would be more than happy to bring refreshments to the first stoner outing I am able to attend.

I wonder how mnay beer it eould take to get steve to clip the bolts? Can All the rage go free? I think its possible, the gear would suck but maybe.

Well sorry guys, saturday is out for me (family things) so it will have to wait. But lets crank it up a notch, I would say that a Stoner should be able to solo anything 5.8 and under at Sorrows. Anybody up for that?

Cheers

Ouch! I've been to Sorrows, I sure wouldn't want to solo anything under 5.8 there. If I remember there is a 5.6 that has some really kinda awkward moves in it... I could be mistaken.

But those two cracks....ahhhh.....soooooo nice........

can I be a NB stoners member? perhaps I should come climb with you guys sometime to add the x?
The phrase "working mother" is redundant. ~Jane Sellman

Everyone is welcome in the Stoners, as per the rules Peter stated on an earlier post.

Steve you are still welcome to come by for beers afterward.

well hay-sus I thought I was on my way to being a stoner, but damn I cant do that crap! Ok I'll start a solo, and you dial 9-1, followed by 1 when I start to get tired after 3 or 4 moves!!
Hey are we still on this weekend? There is bloody snow on the bloody ground, whats with that. I think I might goto Hali friday night and crash at Stad, so I can hit MEC and GZ for a bit before beddy bies... anyone interested?

Don't worry, Peter is a good poker player when it comes to dares, and no doubt the stakes will be raised again. By Saturday night and a few beers it will be that you have to solo Hesitation in boxing gloves and roller skates, blindfold and with one arm tied behind your back to be a Stoner. However, there will be a time when we have to show the cards.....

ok, well now that you say naked I might be able to do it... well at least attempt it. But no-one is gonna be able to vouch for me having completed to task, cause no one is gonna wanna watch!!

I wonder what my gung ho military friends would think if I told them I was going out in the woods with a bunch of men... naked... hmm.
