Climbing behind the killam library.

Postby theatre_rat » Wed Oct 20, 2010 9:03 am

Some friends and I are in the Theatre Program at Dal, so to help with the stress we have started climbing on the wall thats found by the side of the Killam. We have a crash pad, and head out there around 12 and climb for about an hour. The wall is actually great fun and despite a few office windows, pretty private. I am posting this so maybe some other dal climbers will come out and join us some Tuesday during lunch. Anyone interested?

any pictures? how far can you traverse?

i'm not a student or even close to Dal, but I've always enjoyed buildering (preferably away from the public eye, tho')

Here is an old thread about buildering that you might be interested in.

I have the Dalhousie Campus Buildering Guide that Graham talks about in the thread. If you PM me your e-mail address I can send it to you.

Yeah!! Buildering on the Dal Campus is f'ing rad. Get you hands on the buildering guide. Henry hicks, Ocean Pond, and definitly got to check out the LSC for its reachy corners. Oh and the bridge to the Rebecca Cohn there are some great powerful lines.

I used to climb around campus with my homemade crash pad. I got a kick out of the looks people gave me. I traded it in a couple years ago for a trad rack, but still enjoy some unconventional buildering when I can.

I lost my digital copy of the buildering guide but hopeful you can get it from someone else.

I have a digital copy, If any one wants it PM me your e-mail address and I'll send it to you. I tried to upload it here, but niether .doc or .pdf files were able to upload. If any one knows of a way to up load it here or has a website it can be uploaded to that would be awesome rather than e-mailing it around.

Nice Luke. Here is the link where you can download the Buildering Guide PDF.

I am not sure how old it is. I got it from Graham Waugh at some point but never checked any of it out. I believe he was the one who put it together.
