Paces Lake Exploration

Stevo, and all:

Have you ever explored the south-west side of Paces Lake, a ridge across from Main Face, but with the main contour constriction facing west, out of sight from Paces?

I have eye-balled an area on the topo map which looks promising, and now have looked at it on the Google satellite map. There is a defined shadow in the area, and what appears to be not bad access from the lake.

Surely someone has puttered around the lake in a Zodiac, at some point?

If not, the area would involve going due west from Main Face, through the islands with cabins that are clearly visible from Main Face, and then hook around the south shore line, into the first little bay on the south-west corner of the lake.

Check it out. Have you been there already?

I have spent a number of days scouring that area for crags. The arial photos also suggest some good potential. There are a couple of low-angled broken cliffs, but nothing worth the brutal bushwhacking necessary to reach them.

Cheers
