I always use secure now since the time Cara took me off belay when I said take and she heard safe. Just as I leaned back I heard her locker click so I quickly grabbed the tree.

My favorite while climbing in Kamou. I was belaying JF on a climb and he reaches the top. We couldn't see him from the ground but he yells down to me. "Fred, I'm not secure but you can take me off belay!!!" hahahha You should have seen the look on the locals' faces.

Speaking of danger...

I was sitting on top of DDT belaying and enjoying the view when someone kicked a rock the size of a basketball down Simpson wall, I think it might have been Richard. I hear ROCK ROCK ROCK! and it goes hurling down Marge and missed someone standing at the bottom by about 5 feet!
Holy Cow!

Also very interesting was when Adam threw a tree down the Boulevard only for it to plant itself at the base of Waterwalk.
