Dover Island Easter Weekend!

I've been talking to some of you already about a day trip to Dover Island on Easter weekend. I'm putting this out here now to figure out what day will work best with anyone else who is interested.

Right now the long term weather forecast looks good with sunny weather on Friday and a balmy 12 degrees! So let me know what day will work for you so we can try and get some numbers together by Wednesday or Thursday so I can call Norm and set up a ride out.

Don't wait to get to Dover, get out NOW. A few of us were out last weekend and it was fantastic. I don't think there were many changes to the climbs this winter. The talus area got rearranged and opened up some potential lines, so there are opportunities for some FA's. Post when you book the boat for when you do. I had to work last weekend so couldn't get out but I had intentions of setting something up with norm for Friday as well if the weather holds up.

So far everyone seems to want to go on Sunday with a few camping over until Monday. At the moment there are plans to arrange for a 10:30 am boat Sunday Morning!

It's looking like we'll be calling Norm tomorrow and setting something up for Saturday if someone wanted to hop on the boat then.

I called and left a message for Norm today requesting a trip for 10:30am on Saturday. He hasn't gotten back to me yet but hopefully there won't be any issues.

I called last night and asked for a Sunday morning boat. Got the machine too.

Norm just got home and had the names written down to call back this afternoon. He should be calling you guys back re: the Sunday boat today. I just spoke with him and got a boat booked for 10:30am Saturday, so anyone who can't go Sunday and isn't filling their own boat, we'll be there then, come hop on.

Any idea what time the boat is scheduled to come back on Sunday..? I know that you young, childless, folk don't think about these types of things...but I need to know how much to pack in my bag o' tricks in order to ward off a potentially cranky toddler..

Hey Kate,

If it's up to me, I'd probably ask Norm to come get us shortly before sundown - like 6:30ish?
However, I think some of the people who are heading out there on Saturday might be spending the night and therefore might be requesting a boat back earlier on Saturday afternoon.

I'm sure you'll be able to work something out with Norm.
