loose bolt hangers

Postby Fred » Mon Mar 15, 2010 2:11 pm

FYI.. spotted a couple loose bolt hangers while climbing recently

One of the lead bolts (4th one?) on Dihelio.

One of the anchor bolts on first pitch of Fandango.
I want to go to hell... there's probably lots of rock to climb there.

Also, thought I'd post this here...the bolted anchor on Strata Factor Direct 1st pitch has old cordelette and webbing. I wish I could've replaced them but I had no cordelette on me. So whoever goes up there next should bring some and replace 'em before it rips...

We'll be there on the weekend. I'll bring one of my spare wrenches and leave it in the sign in box for anyone planning to climb those routes.

That reminds me,there was a loose second bolt on "it's about time" last year. Did anyone snug it down or is that something I'll have to do before I head back to Wawa.

If they fall and hit you in the eye it can be serious.

Haha thank you guys, I haven't left yet!

Of course I'll come back to visit. Every time there will be a party where we can fix the loose bolt hangers, and tell each other about our inventions and FA's.
