Great day out today with hardly anyone around. Rope-soloed 31 routes in 4h 52min today.

Now lets get him doing this rope soloing on something other than just a shunt. I don't mind it for short, easier, straight up and down routes, but anything harder or even a little wandering it makes me uneasy. We both rope solo if we are out with the kids and without a 3rd person... it is the only way sometimes!

Ulysse always said that Petzl had the best thing... anyone else?

A lot of these routes are short and have shared anchors. The key is to just keep moving with your rope work and only stop for food and water while hiking to your next destination.

I did 13 routes on lead today at Sunnyside under 5 hours and belayed seconds so it's totally do-able. You just have to climb climb climb!!!!

Fred is a sport climber... cragger. nothing more. Don't let him fool you. and yes, he is also scared of heights... sort of. LOL

ask him about when he and Ghislain went to the Verdon Gorge in France......

It's true. Can't think of many folks who want to belay Fred up 31 pitches in a day. Forget that!
