Hey, new to the area and wondering where to go for some ice on the weekend without going to NB. Valley area?

I would be shocked if there is any safe ice left. Best go to Parlee Brook, after checking with folks on the NB board.

I think Parlee was climbed last weekend but I'd be carefull. You might be in the line of fire in that gully.

Darrells Trip report on Joes site said that blue pillar was stellar, but ice was falling from sunbake and 3 amigos.

Unless you are leading hard (4 or more for blue pillar etc) then you'll be top roping it.

I'm sure most of 'all the kings horses' is out due to the water feed from the brook up top.

Just another update on Parlee...

unless you have 4x4 you aren't getting in by Lisson Settlement road. It has started to thaw, and with the logging trucks going in and out it is very rutty and muddy. You can still only get to about the blueberry fields, and then a hike in snow to the climbing. about 35 min hike. if you walk all the way, count on an a little over an hour.

The top approach (lisson settlement) is better than the bottom right now from what I have heard.
