Climbing Easter weekend

Postby Stevo » Wed Mar 23, 2005 7:58 am

I can make it out a couple of days this weekend. Saturday is looking good but I'm flexible. Anyone interested??
Main Face has plenty of easy routes to ease into the rock season, but open to suggestions.

Easter Weekend

Main Face is always best, unless we get any precip between now and then. I am off Friday to Monday, but Saturday may have to be my errand day, with so much closed the other days. Would any other day work for you?

I'm ok for any day, just looked at the forecast and Sunday is good too. We may be at our cottage (Clam Harbour) so I can meet anywhere around Musquodoboit with a little advance notice.

Cheers

Postby seanT » Wed Mar 23, 2005 1:30 pm

looks like a possee is forming for sorrows and the drill may be comming out so if your not into the sound of rock being grinded to dust....go to Mainface.
I dont mean this post to be hostile in any way to the tradsters.
Seant
ps i will be trad climbing as well.

Main vs. Sorrows

Postby peter » Wed Mar 23, 2005 4:53 pm

Well, I can't go to Sorrow's now, for sure; not for ethical reasons, but because I suffer from Dentist Drill "issues". Maybe I will just rent "Marathon Man", and watch Stevo re-define "run out" at Main Face.

Hey guys!

I would be in anytime this week-end, need some more practice. nds that main face would be good, even first face. Let me know where and when.

Don't know if someone else went out last sunday, but it was fantastic. We climbed in T-Shirt at Eagles nest all afternoon, starting with a lead on evening wall and finishing with an easy relaxing time on cave wall.

Short climb, but better than be stuck inside!

My goal this season is to get into the 5.10 in trad, so need lot of practice!

it's the same as climbing 5.9, just got to hold on a little harder that's all
if you look like your passport photo, then you probably need the vacation

Easter Weekend

Stevo:

Must revise my plans. Turns out I am not as footloose and fance free this weekend as I thought, both at work and on the home front. Enjoy.

Trad climbing

Postby Stevo » Thu Mar 24, 2005 1:15 pm

Hey Bert,
Since Peter has dropped out, Saturday is a possibility. Have you a preference for any day or days. Email me at spunshon@dal.ca or phone 826 9008.

Hey Mitt are your around, or have you defected to the drilling crew??

Cheers
Steve

When in doubt, run it out! (anon)[/quote]

Dude I'm in, just looking at the weather. I personally would like to do some super easy flowers like maybe popcorn or something of the nature. think those manky routes will be dry enough? I will buy a beer for the first man or woman to get through (lead that is) CONAN this year. Conan the climb not the climber.

Hey fellas

I'd be up for a little trad if there's some to be had.
I'm not really mobile, except two feet and a heart beat; including the maritime's finest public transportation system.

Any chance I could hookup with someone heading down.

Hint, Hint Sean.

What do you say old friend.
