A Rock Climbers Guide to New Brunswick

Postby martha » Tue Jun 03, 2008 2:26 pm

Hey All,

Just wanted to let everyone know that MEC is now carrying the Rock Climbers Guide to New Brunswick.

If you've wanted to get your hands on one but don't live in or near Fredericton, now is your chance!!

Cheers.

Cara

So you we didn't need to make a special trip, through the ice and snow, all the way out there to get one?

I'm looking forward to getting back out there and using it.

well...no, i guess you didn't have to come all this way.. but aren't you glad you did?

You should come visit this summer and stay home with our kids while WE go climbing. What a deal!

I will attempt to order a copy from source rather than wait for my next stroll through the literature at MEC in Vancouver. My copy of the new Newfie guide arrived okay so there is
some thought that Canada Post will assist. Hopefully these will apply pressure on local climbers, in particular the two lads at Rockin Raven to get their new Yukon guidebook out.
Long overdue and the two existing books are primitive and not up to standard. We probably need our Ibex Bouldering guide updated as well. Despite snow on the ground last Sunday, summer has arrived and it is time to go play on some rocks. My brother from Sydney River is due to arrive in a couple of weeks for a visit - he could use an introduction to rock as a way of countering his soft life managing the Sydney Casino. I will be in Halifax in a couple of years time and it would be good to do a few routes out and about the place. With these new guidebooks coming out, I hope someone is updating the appropriate sections of the Gripped website as well.

Could someone direct me to where on MEC.ca the guidebook for NB is? I'm obviously missing something cause I've never been able to find it.

MEC website doesn't carry any books or guidebooks. you have to get them in store.
