New route on Pooh Corner!

Postby motanb » Fri May 30, 2008 10:56 am

Yesterday (May 29th) I completed my longstanding project on Pooh Corner. The climb shares the same beginning corner as "grandpa's demise" except climb past the section when one would break right from the corner to continue up "grandpa's", climb another 10ft approx. to a nice belay stance (optional) or from here break right aiming for the 3 bolts to top. This bolted section is the "main" section of the climb and is very nice rock. Low angle, edgy, great friction. Besides the 3 bolts there are 2 blades but I suggest ignoring the blades (there is sufficient pro where needed). We placed a two bolt anchor on top ( of which I'll be placing extension chains on soon).

Thom:

can you confirm the route is approx 150 ft total?
I want to go to hell... there's probably lots of rock to climb there.

whatever the current consensus is for "grandpa's" height is the same for my new route. so, if that is 150ft I would say that is correct.
