My husband and I have some experience with leading wall climbing and challenge courses and that sort of jazz, but we would really like to get into real ROCK climbing! Where can we learn about rock climbing? We're in Saint John, and are just itching to climb something!!

Thanks!

Unfortunately there is nowhere to learn rock climbing in the area. However, the climbing community is very friendly, and if you touch base with some of the local climbers they will show you the area and help you to climb safely.

In Saint John the community college wall is still open Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7 to 9pm. It will be shutting down for the summer in a couple of weeks but you can meet climbers there. Otherwise post on this site and arrange to meet someone at the cliffs in Welsford.
