New Routes Greenlaw

Postby Fred » Sun May 11, 2008 9:17 pm

Great day out in Greenlaw today despite the black flies being out in full force.

Managed to bolt an old TR project today... Miss Conception 5.7 G 60'/S(7)/R(2) see guidebook for more details on route location. A great route. Check it out on your next visit.

Added bolt anchor for new project directly left of Space Invaders. Please stay off until further notice.
I want to go to hell... there's probably lots of rock to climb there.

Yeah it kinda climbs the the far left of the overhanging face that makes up the corner for Space Invaders. Mat Keayes TR'd it but I didn't get on it yet.

btw M. Keays flashed Scurvy on TR then came down and sent it first go red point. He also flashed (no beta no previous knowledge no monkey see monkey do) Space Invaders on lead and he's only been climbing outside 5 times.

Miss Conception is a very nice line. Well protected. Great addition to the area. Best of the existing easy routes (sub 5.9) in Greenlaw... in my opinion.

I admit that Salted Jesus is nice, but Miss Conception is more pleasing to the touch.

Way to go Mat!!!

Scurvy and space invaders! Very nice - impressive.

Jamie

by the way -- what's the status of that line I bolted father left of Space Invaders -- have people led it? I only got it on TR. The name I had in mind is "Don't Think Twice"... anyway - just curious. I think my time for an FA on lead has run out! Have at.

Bowles and I both red pointed the project last summer. We called it Grand Theft Project 5.12b.
