I'd like to get out this weekend. I'm available both days.

Was @ Main Face on Monday, got the tour from Eiger. Some stuff was pretty wet, but there was lots of dry stuff too.

We got on Popcorn, Mr. Puff, and a short bolted route... I think its called Deep Throat.. its not in the guide... Regardless, it was a good afternoon.

I'd love to second some lines on sunday. Maybe even try to place some gear if anyone's feeling patient...

Sunday sunday sunday!

So I had an amazing day on first face, where myself and two climbing partners had the cliff to ourselves...

Conan, got your message once I got home - why the change of locale? Here's hoping conditions were as perfect for you guys as they were where I was!

We went to Main face for the traffic, and more simpler routs. A party of five put down 8 lines. No bugs, No wind, and lots of sun.

Anniversary Waltzes and Black Diamond. Went up and down BD a few times, what a classic line! I tried my hand at placing gear for the first time on Chalk Stars but didn't make much progress. :(

I want to get back out there again this week and set up some topropes on some other trad stuff and try to work Blue Sky Mining as a sport lead. Wednesday anyone?

By the way, how the heck do you protect the first 4 meters of Pyramid?

Glad you had fun. Those are good routes.
One of these days I'll give you a tour of a few more lines out there.
The bottom of Pyramid is not protectable....straight ahead bouldering....complete with pile of cheater stones (you can only take ethics so far, I guess!!!)

FYI, a party of four also went to Sorrow's End on Saturday (I couldn't climb Sunday). Conditions were also very good there: dry, sunshine with a cool breeze, shirts and toques optional. The season has truly begun. Peter
A monk asked Quiglin Shiqian, "What is a person who has realized the Way?"
Quiglin said, "Embracing the ice and snow, head and eyebrows held high."
