Rock Season Has Begun

Friday and Monday I got out to rockwood for some bouldering. Good weather, some dry rock...and sharp on cold tips that have gotten soft over the winter.

SWEEEET! Sunnyside will be primed in a week or two (if this snow/ice ever retreats)... but oh crap i'm gonna be in kentucky! nvm

Welsford got hit much harder by the rain than Fredericton did. The snow melt is further ahead for sure with exception of some snow build-up areas.

You guys have much better rock climbing than we do, so I can understand your confusion. Ours tends to fall apart unless it is firmly frozen together.

JTree was great. We managed 6 straight days of climbing from sun up to sun down. Chilly at night with temp below freezing point, but nice once the sun came up. I have edited the pics from 800 to 400 and am now working on the video.

Awesome day on the rock Sunday. Easy walk up the trail. Warm weather. Warm rock. Dry conditions. Cleaned two new mixed routes on Striated. Both require a bit more cleaning and a couple of bolts.

got some early season bouldering in , went to Cape Spencer just to play are and hike.

i can`t wait to get down there with some pads and actually look around .

Another great day on the rock yesterday. Climbed about 10 routes in long sleeve t-shirt. Super warm and dry everywhere. Trail is a bit icy below the sign-in box. If you have alpine crampons it wouldn't be a bad idea to bring them along.
