A healthy reminder not to underestimate Mount Washington:
http://www.tuckerman.org/accident/20072008.htm
A monk asked Quiglin Shiqian, "What is a person who has realized the Way?"
Quiglin said, "Embracing the ice and snow, head and eyebrows held high."

I think the only place you can camp/bivy is near the Harvard Cabin or the Hermit Lake shelters. Staying in the cabin is nice 'cause you've already got most of the approach to Huntington Ravine done and you don't have to carry a tent.

The Harvard hut is closed, but I have seen people camping outside of it. Not sure if that is legal or not.

Ignore that last post. Obviously from the accident report the hut is now open.
