I got the Rambo 4's. They fit my boot kinda funny but I'm going to give them a test before I decide to send them back. I'm sure they will be fine. They worked fine on the wood pile anyways. The rails are so flat that the boot at the toe doesn't touch the crampon by 1/2 inch. Seems like poor design but I'm sure they have their reasons.

Went back out East for xmas, so we got in a great trip through Quebec and a chance to climb the Welsford ice. Great present to ourselves!

Nathan also got me a couple sets of Teknik holds, which he has already set a problem for me on our home wall. Sweet!

How are those crampons working out?

My fruitboots are friggin' awesome! Its almost like wearing rock shoes when drytooling. They work really well on ice too. I wish I could get detachable crampons like those for my big boots.

The crampons are doing pretty well but I wouldn't give them 5 stars. Way better than my DMM's though.

My only two complaints are...

1) the rails are flat and as you know the bottom of a boot is not flat. The toes near the front bail don't actually sit on the rails.

2) the clamping doesn't feel secure. No matter how I try to adjust them they just don't clip onto the boot very well. I had it pop off twice so far.

Well, that sucks. How do you feel about wearing them while leading?

How often did your Terminators pop off that those are better!
