Didn't the Romans conquer parts of Spain?

It should have been obvious. If there are bulls with pointy things stuck in them then its Spain, if there are lots of men hitting on you its Italy.

Yup, We actually visited the city of Tarragona which was the ancient Roman city of Tarraco. It was the original Roman Capital of what we now know as Spain. The ruins and history there were incredible. :)

I say grid bolt Cochrane lane... I would suggest a 6 foot spacing between all bolts... that would be 6 feet up/down or left/right you have a bolt... super safe.

The other problem we have are those dang trees that block the sun and also keep us from getting on some sweet lines... a good fire would fix that.

Lichen and moss on routes? A tanker truck of bleech and a pressure washer should cure that one I'd say.

We should ask the base if they have any agent orange left. That should get rid of the trees and lichen.

So I checked out the climbing in Beaumont today with a buddy of mine.
Well there are 3 bolted sport routes. 1 of wich is around a 5.7 and has 2bolts + anchors. This is an ok route. We got on another of the routes and this one was incredibly chossy, muddy and frankly quite dangerous... more or less 5.11b. Every hold I thought would break in my face.3bolts +1 bolt for the anchor. The other sport route seems as chossy/ chossier than the 5.11... As for the bouldering it is non-existant since there has been significant excavating in the area recently. ALL of this to say It sucks.... Luc, Al and Justin had good intentions bolting those routes but the sandstone is just wayyyyy too flowery.
So much rock, so little time
