Nate made a fine lead of a new route last weekend

The kid on the mountain, 5.10+ (N.Smith and S. Punshon)
Start in the pod right of Black Dog and make some tricky moves to a ledge (crux). Follow the crackline over a surprisingly awkward bulge to another ledge and finish up a fine jamming crack.

Ben Smith also made the first ascent of an excellent looking corner crack, cleaning on lead (!). The route was apparently much better than its appearance suggested and we are waiting for the name and details.

Stevo, howe many lines are at that crag now? Sounds like it's about time for a visit ....freshly cleaned lines...perfect. I trust the base of the routes have all been prepped for my arrival? Comfy lounging areas, crash pads, beer-chilling facilities, etc.

BTW, I was in the E-gully a couple of weeks ago and eyeing up that new line you put up (last year?) - unfortunately it seems to be growing back again.

And Ben: Rich and I were on Enervator (top rope, on account of the manky bolts) - WTF!!! Those moves through the roof seem stupidly hard. Rich kinda did them, but I got totally shut down.

enervator is frigging hard- I have to get back on it- seems harder than 12b or whatever though, how bad are the bolts now?

there's a couple o' bolts that I really wouldn't want to log much (read: "any") air time on

yeah, it's hard for 12b!!! probably I'm bitter for not being able to figure it out, but I didn't really find the moves that inspiring
