Camping at Rumney

Postby Scooter » Tue Aug 28, 2007 3:21 pm

A few comrades and myself are planning to take a trip down to Rumney, NH from Sept. 4th-9th. We are wondering what the camping is like? (how close, how much and if we should book ahead)

Also, does anybody know how busy it will be this time of year?

Cheers!

during the week it shouldn't be too bad. There is camping across from the parking lot in a womans back field. some times she lets people camp there and sometimes not.

We camped at a D-acres which is about 15 minutes from the climbing. http://www.dacres.org/

The camping is cheap and quiet. The food is really really great and the people quite friendly. I enjoyed it though Fred and Holly thought it a wee tad too far on the hippie side of things.

I would reccomend it though. :)
The phrase "working mother" is redundant. ~Jane Sellman

If a husband speaks in the woods, and his wife is not there to hear him...is he still wrong?
