Anyone climbed here before?

Postby Murph » Mon Jul 02, 2007 10:29 pm

My girlfriend and I hiked the Fundy Foot Trail this weekend (3 nights, 50km) and I noticed a rock face (150- 200'?) between Cradle brook and Seeley Beach. Has anyone climbed here before???

ryan,

how long is the hike to get to this cliff? did you walk up to it to check the quality? Looks interesting but might not be worth it if it's a long trek.
I want to go to hell... there's probably lots of rock to climb there.

It was our 3rd day of the hike at that point, but there would be access roads that would get you closer (i'll have to check the maps). I didn't have a chance to check the quality because we were rippin on through to the next camp area.

There is road access to the trail at the top of the long hill leaving Cradle Brook heading West. There is also road access to within a few k's of Seely Beach with an atv trail leading right to the beach. From my memory that cliff is part way up the hill when you leave Cradle Brook (again heading toward St. Martins) and the footpath skirts the cliff up the right side. Rock quality is most likely poor as with most coastal cliffs in the area.
