Rockwood Park Climbing - Saint John

For those local to Saint John and the Rockwood Park area who don't know, there is a small cliff with top-anchors and 3 lead (bolted) routes near the entrance to the campground in Rockwood Park. If you are really hard up for a climb or are new and need a place outdoors to learn, this is a great place. It's free and open 365 24/7 and is also semi-lit at night.

I thought it might be useful, esp. since one of our climbing areas is unavailable at the moment and with the local indoor wall closed until September.

What days in the next few weeks are u able to come to Rockwood? I'm gettin a lil cabin fever with Welsford closed, and NBCC closed... btw do u have a rope u can bring?

I can't remember if u met me while at the wall at NBCC, I'm 17, and climber with Peter, and Mitchell Sears.

I had a conky puppet on my chalk bag... no idea if u remember
