Going to Cape Breton in Augest looking for something to do!!

Whats up all , i`m heading to caper down along the Cabot Trail and i`m looking for some good hiking and places to see.
If anyone knows anything , or any websites please let me know cause i`ve never been there before

What section of the Cabot Trail? How long are you going to be around there?

Its beautiful there, a lot of the time you'll be in the Cape Breaton Highland park, so I'd imagine that they have a good list of trails that you can go explore.

MEC has a Hiking Trails Of Cape breton you can pick up. Its almost 300 pages long.

I've done the North River Trail ( highest waterfall in nova scotia ). The skyline trail, ( play video http://novascotia.com/en/home/whattodo/ ... fault.aspx ) you'll see moose on that one, but you'll see tones of people too.
And Macintosh Brook ( free camp site with very clean washrooms there ) but its really short.

If you plan to climb in the park, your "suppose" to get a pass to do so at the entrance to Highlands.

OK good to know , i dont know how much actual climbing cause the GF isn`t really into it at this point.

If you can find the time, I would highly recommend to go to Cape Clear; not to climb, but just for the view. It’s beautiful!
