I stopped and drooled at that rock when Sue and I did our paddle odyssey from Canso to Lunenburg last summer! Looked very much like the rock at Cockrane Lane. There were no indications from the road of any climbing activity which surprised me and prompted me to ask around among some climbers I know here in NB who have climbed often in NS, no-one was aware of it or seemed to know anything about it.

There is a pretty good trail from the Nimrods campground all the way around the backside of the lake to where in connects with the road again at the far end of the road. There is another lake just south of it with what appears to be some more smaller crags.

They used to quarry that granite 50 to 100 years ago and drag huge pieces of the granite across the ice in the winter by horse.

A lot of bouldering potential everywhere down that way to. Both coastal and inland stuff.

Some Good said, " where in connects with the road again at the far end of the road"

The last word should read "LAKE", not road.
