thank you fo rthe info as you saw we did not know that, or I did not and I might or should be able to lead it this is my first time climbing this year as I have hads 3 broken ribs for the last 2 months so I am a little weak still... however I do not know his climbing abilty........

But thanks you so much for that info it is GREATLY appericated more than you know.........

Woah ambition!
That face isn't iced cheese for sure. It's a fairly stiff angle, and quite sustained. If you don't have much experience leading ice, and especially if you're not in strong condition, I'd wait for the more experienced leaders to get there. It would suck hard to start Ice school with an injury.
Im leaving Freddy with a group of people and a couple of leaders around 8 or so, so lines will be up fairly early in the morning. We shouldn't be that far behind you.

I have never lead climbed ice before and probably don't intend to until I get a few more seasons in… TR for now

I will see everyone at 10am at the face. I hope they're will be some crampons and axes to borrow. I'm probably coming alone. Adam, are you still coming? I talked to Tony and he can't make it, but wishes he could.

What are the ice conditions on the hike over? Do I need snow shoes? would skate ski's do it? xc?

We walked over in our boots last weekend, but it has snowed since then. Snowshoes or skis might be a good idea to bring just in case

Hey Cara there are lots of snowmobile tracks too,,,the walking is easy and the sleddin is even better.....the river is in excellent shape and safe

Seriously though, thanks all for another amazing ice fest. It's my favorite climbing to-do of the year, and once again it was fantastic. Great to see so many new faces, and awesome to hang out with some of the....erm....old ones.....
Killer time had by all I think. Looking forward to next year.
Ok, now on to the serious business, Who's got pictures, and when are they going to post them?!

All the gear that was loaned out for ice fest needs to be returned ASAP I have other reservations waiting to pick up gear. Loaned gear is supposed to be for one weekend only and returned on monday so everyone has a fiar chance with it. As of now all the clubs axes and a bunch of crampons have not been returned. Please do so or I will be forced to send one of my Heavies after you, I know where you live! hahahahahahahha

don't flower on everyone... VBPad gave me and Fred the gear he borrowed to return on monday. I forgot it when I went in for junior climbing. It is MY fault!
