Hey Stoners!!!

Postby Stevo » Fri Jan 26, 2007 6:27 pm

The crag days are looming up again and plans need to be made. Would anyone be up for a regular evening rendezvous at a decent drinking hole?
Talk climbing, catch up on the news and spin yarns over a pint?
If so, I'm thinking that pub on Barrington, near the junction with South St., used to be the Granite Brewery and sells Old Peculiar? I'm also thinking Thursday nights between about 6 and 8pm could be every week or every two weeks.

Thoughts, suggestions? You know you want to!

Looking down the other posts I now realise this time might conflict with the Rock Court session but could be later, get pumped then get pint!

I'm in. Don't be alarmed if I show up in a suit and tie, as my office is a block away from Henry House.

Thursday, February 1, 2007, at what time? Stevo, you have the last word on this.

I bet you look hot in your monkey suit. I'd watch those Trad daddies around your buns.... you know how they can be....

Pub Night

But I will save my tapered, dark blue, Parisian bought "Jude lawsuit", as it is called in my office, for a night when ma petite pêche fraîche plans to attend ...

Well I did say 7.00 pm but didn't then know that Conan had scheduled a CNS board meeting for 7-8pm the same evening and requested that some of us non-CNS people go. So I'm saying turn up at the pub at 6.00pm and those who want to go on to the meeting can after a beer. The Stoners drinking club can thereafter convene regularly on a Thursday night at 7.00pm

Cheers

And I'd like to see one of these calenders if someone would care to bring one along.

How about we make it the first Thursday of each month, so that makes it the week after next.

Steve

Hey and try mixing half Strongbow and half Guiness - working mans Black Velvet!

I recommend the following recipe:

drink three large Strowbow
drink three large Guiness
stand up on the table and shake (not stir) your belly 'til evenly mixed
sing loudly (belt out, actually) your favourite Celine Dion chanson
pay your bill and ask for directions to the exit

This is what Punshon normally does, anyway, and he swears by it. Good for what ails you.

I have to set up for the home show at the Forum. If I get out in time, I shall swing by. And if your lucky Peter, I'll even pay for my own Bill this time.
