grand falls or Parlee

Postby shannon » Thu Dec 28, 2006 8:41 pm

I'm in Florenceville since the 29th of Dec. I have 2 days I can devote to climbing (one of the two) is anyone either climbing at grand falls, or in grand falls and interested in heading to Parlee brook to climb there?

I have rope and gear!

Is no one climbing at all? Too much christmas turkey? Someone say something! This is uncomfortable!

Hey, I'm free today too. Or maybe..... there is no ice?

Hey Shannon,

I will be going into Parlee on Saturday, taking a couple of friends in to try climbing. We will be going in the bottom entrance, off the Parlee brook rd, probably around noon or 1pm. If you are interested, try me on my cell, 506-444-1373 . We will be meeting at my camp, which is about 6km past Poley mountain. It has been cold up there for a few days now, and will be cold again tonight. Although no good lines will be leadable, we I will set up a toprope on something for them to try, and we may lead an easy line to get up and around to the back wall.

Darrell,

I'll see if I can make it. I think I met you in Parlee last year in December as well. I'll give you a call. Thanks!

Turns out that parlee brook is 6 hours from here. I'm hoping for a climb at grand falls I guess.
Enjoy the climbing!

6 hours? who's driving? Miss Daisy?

Parlee is 1.5 from Freddy max and Florenceville is 1.5 max from Freddy. 3 hours tops. But definitely Grand Falls is your best bet since it's closer.

However, John C drove by G-F two days ago and said it looked in very rough shape.
I want to go to hell... there's probably lots of rock to climb there.

Ok, if I "get permission" to go tomorrow, what are the directions once I take route 10 off the route 2 to Sussex to get to Darrell's camp? Anyone?

Darell, I'll call if I am close near 12:30 or 1 pm.
