Hayes falls

Postby Graham » Tue Dec 12, 2006 4:20 pm

I know this might be a little hopeful, but does anyone know the condition of Hayes Falls. It's been quite warm so I doubt it's frozen, but who knows? Maybe a little micro climate formed there that has caused record low temps? I was hoping to go out for an afternoon later in the week. If the falls aren't frozen, anyother recommended places that are within an hours drive? Much appreciated.

I cant see Hayes being in, there is so much water there, if your up for the drive there were two or three lines in at Grand Falls last weekend.I'll have a better report with pics after this weekend, hoping that the next cpl days doesnt mess anything up.

Hayes is a pretty big discharge of water to freez up. I think it will take a few more weeks of consistent cold temps to slow it down. Should be decent come xmas time.
I want to go to hell... there's probably lots of rock to climb there.

Right on thanks for the info. I'm doing a trip to Parlee next week, so with any luck that will be nice and frozen. I am however, slightly peturbed at the weather right now. Darn rain.....
