Sweet! Now you're getting the best tool on the market!

Unless he's getting something that not's on the market. I've tried most of the new ones out there (except DMM) and I feel the Quark is still the best, but ice tools are preference dependent, one may love one but is hated by others, etc, blabla....

Hey now! for those of us without husbands to buy us things like Quarks (yes I am jealous, but maybe not so much the husband part) vipers are just fine, in fact I could say they are pretty awsome, even if they are a poor man's Quarks I suppose.... Anyway, in 5 years they'll all be obsolete, so I'm hoping by then I'll save enough coin to get a pair of next generation tools that fuse with rock and ice, plus a pair of anti gravity crampons.

Fred climbs on the Vipers and loves them. They just don't suit my swing style as well as the Quarks.....but they are wicked too. Kinda like a mustang and a corvette. Both sweet cars...just different. 8)

Fair enough. I suppose in my case I like Vipers because I have them and have yet to swing a Quark at any ice.

So on another note, Which car goes with which axe? A mustang more of a hardcore muscle car, where a corvette is kind of a slick go-fast sort of thing. My opinion is the Quarks would be the Corvette because lets face it, they're sexy enough to marry. Vipers would be the Mustang because they are more workhorse-ish, but a big, loud, kick a** workhorse.
