Nathan actually forgot that it was thanksgiving till the night before.

My aunt and uncle from Boston are coming up to St. Catharines this weekend. We're going to have a turky dinner with them tonight, so he'll still have his thanksgiving dinner.

In the US Thanks giving is the holiday that commemorats the theft of land and slaughter of natives, so that they may plant crops and harvest them. I think its pretty much the same here.

Thanksgiving seems to be a much bigger deal in the States than in Canada. Everything is closed and very few people have to go to work, many Americans get a four day weekend out of it.

In Canada Thanksgiving seems a bit like Columbus Day in the States. Government stuff is closed and some people have the day off, but a lot of people still work.

And Mitt, Columbus Day is the day we celebrate the pillaging. Thanksgiving is family time.
