I love my Integral Designs Unishelter!!! If I include the weight of a small tarp (for changing and leaving my pack under) and five aluminum pegs it still comes in at the weight of a nalgene with a liter of water....
If'n ya think ya can, ya can! If'n ya think ya can't, yer right....!

I've used my south col almost exclusiveley for 3 years. Actually did the west coast trail with it. Really you just want it for shelter, I never had to kill off a rain day in it. I'm quite please with it and it doesn't have any poles except for a stiff wire to raise the rim up.

Again it depends what you want it for

Did you like the West Coast Trail? Or is it one of those you can say you've done it and don't have to do it anymore?

I think you need a fat down sleeping bag and not a bivy bag for that. Bivy bag aren't too warm. They might keep a bit of evaporative heat loss but that's about it.

Liked it, we lucked out with the tides and we could walk on the tidal shelf most of the way. I wouldn't do it if that wasn't the case, it would involve walking in a bog for about 20km.

Bivy bag + Bear country = little sleep

mmmmm yellow pastry, crunchy outside, gui inside
