Directions to Blackwoods Campground / Acadia Park from SJ

I'm headed to Maine in a few hours to arrive at Blackwoods Campground.

What's the best route to get there starting at the border?

I've got the maine map and a close-up map of Mount Desert Island.

There are a few different ways to get there, I'm wondering which the easiest is, esp. if I end up in the dark.

From Border (my directions so far):

HWY 1 South(west) then soon
HWY 9 West

After this, im not sure on the best route. Someone please help me!

In clifton take a short-cut hwy 119? down to elsworth

Here's what I took:

From Calais - Rt. 9 West towards Bangor
Take Rt. 179 to Elsworth then drive through the town
Take Rt. 3 to Mount Desert Island/Bar Harbour
Then goodluck trying to find Blackwoods.
