Stoner's (Only):

Any interested, as discussed on Saturday briefly, in a day out at Main Face Sunday next, for Stoner's and significant others?

The idea would be a nice intro to the place we love to climb, hauling some ass up classic trad routes around the North Buttress, pique nique on the rocks at the foot of "Into the Blue"; you get the picture.

Requirements are (1) you have a spouse; (2) you can trad lead 5.8; (3) you can pull some food together and haul it in.

Stevo, Sean K., Thom, Peter, Conan ... and who else might fit the bill?

Sorry can't. The wife is away on Duke of Edinburgh hikes over the next two weekends and I may be conscripted.

? is she a rasta and is scared to have her soul stolen? or is she just not into the butt shots?

Conan has heard me often enough describe how 'hot' his girlfriend is, to be concerned I may try to steal her soul. But Cara, didn't you lose your inner self to that butt-shot Avatar?

Man, I know what you are saying about the avatar. I didn't have one, and Teth made that one for me.... I don't know how to make another. :S I suck.

But if it were bigger, you would see that my shoulders are ripped... but if it were bigger... it would be an even bigger butt shot....

sigh.

So, this event is a scratch. Maybe another time.

Climbing is on though, for manly men.

Shadows and Dust was about the only thing on the main face which looked dry enough to climb, although it was probably a bit damp as well. I have been thinking about aiding it. Change that A0 to an A1.

Donna has not roped up since she started her masters. Now that she is done with that and she is not spending all her time on homework, it was time for her to get back into it. She is a bit out of shape though, so we hit the easy face with those 5.4 routes. They were dry. You know, I am not very good on the lower end of the rating scale, but I would have rated Andrea’s TR and Dirt Bag 5.5 rather than 5.4. I always thought 5.4 was more of a scramble which was so steep that hands were required. These routes, although gym like, seem to be full on climbs.

I aided Gobbles (5.6) while I was there, just to show Donna how aid climbing worked. That route had the advantage of being short. A good husband knows not to make his wife stand around for more than 45 minutes while he shows off. Guys can only get away with that before the wedding.
